Meet Dr Ankita Kothari
Dr Ankita Kothari is a comprehensive ophthalmologist dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centred eye care. She has particular interests in cataract surgery, pterygium treatment, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and the management of macular degeneration.
Dr Kothari holds qualifications including MBBS, DNB, and FRANZCO. She has developed broad expertise through training and clinical practice across multiple ophthalmic subspecialties, working in major tertiary and public hospitals in Brisbane and Perth, as well as gaining valuable international clinical experience earlier in her career.
Her diverse background enables her to diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions with a comprehensive and evidence-based approach. Dr Kothari currently holds public hospital appointments at STARS and Redland Hospital, where she is involved in both clinical care and the education of junior doctors and trainees.
